Matt Nelson’s idea to do this project came about for several reasons. The first was when Matt asked himself, “How can I go to more ballparks and have a good excuse to do it?” That led to the idea of doing it for work and creating an extensive web-based “Ballparks of the Midwest League” project.
The hope is that the baseball fans and families who travel around the Midwest can use this project as a way to learn more about the ballparks and cities of the Midwest League. Either just for their own entertainment, or for travel planning purposes.
If you look around on the internet you will find plenty of sites that review ballparks. What you won’t find are sites that include in-depth high quality video reviews of ballparks. That’s the focal point of this project. When they are posted online, be sure to watch not only the video ballpark profile for each stadium, but also the sidebar video story highlighting something about the city or the franchise. Video, video, video!!
Matt will visit and profile every Midwest League Ballpark by the end of the 2010 season!
